Optimal use of 3D workstation(s) – planning, tips and tricks

Target audience: Novice / Advanced beginner

Description: The aim of this session is to learn how to use a 3D workstations to prepare interventions (open or endovascular), particularly in the aorto-iliac bifurcation and the lower limbs. The participants will be able to handle different imaging examinations, reconstruct them, plan the working angles, and choose the most appropriate material before the procedure.

Learning objectives:
At the end of this workshop, delegates will be able to:

  • Be comfortable with MPR, 3D and CPR reconstructions
  • Know how to plan the material necessary for a procedure or anticipate surgical times

Preservation of the hypogastric artery in EVAR

Description: This workshop is a practical hands-on workshop that will give the participants an overview how to deal with the hypogastric artery during EVAR procedures to achieve a stable distal landing zone. During the workshop the participant will learn about case selection in iliac artery aneurysm and be able to get hands-on experience.

Learning objectives:
At the end of this workshop, delegates will be able to:

  • Name solutions to deal with challenging distal landing zone including occlusion and preservation of internal
    iliac artery
  • Know the toolkit to use and deploy iliac branched device
  • Learn the procedural steps of iliac branched device

Day Surgery

Description: The aim of this session is to learn how to select patients eligible for outpatient treatment through case discussion, and then to master the techniques of puncture under ultrasound and percutaneous closure through practical workshops.

At the end of this workshop, delegates will be able to:

  • Be comfortable case selection for day surgery
  • Know how to puncture under ultrasound guidance and use closure devices
